Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 July 2026
Teaching yoga safely means asking you personal questions, including questions about your health. This page explains exactly what is collected, why it is needed, where it is kept, and what you can ask to have changed or deleted.
Who this policy is from
Yuj Yoga Space is a sole proprietorship owned and operated by Sathyajhith S S, at 40/30, Venkat Rao Road, Near EB Office, Salem, Tamil Nadu 636001, India. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean that business, and “you” means anyone who books a session, writes to us, or practises with us.
For any question about your data, including a request to see it or delete it, write to sathyajhiths@gmail.com. That address is also the grievance contact required under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect
When you book a session, you are asked for:
- Your name, email address, phone number, and date of birth
- Your health background: existing medical conditions, past injuries, recent surgery or pregnancy, mental health concerns, digestion, and your current level of physical activity
- Your reasons for practising, the asanas or practices you are drawn to, any other exercise you do, and whether you are aiming for the group batch or one-on-one sessions
- Anything else you choose to tell us in your own words
If you message us on WhatsApp, by email, or on Instagram, we also hold that conversation.
Health information, specifically
The health questions are not optional curiosity. A teacher who does not know about your knee injury, your blood pressure, or your pregnancy can put you into a posture that hurts you. Your answers are used for one purpose only: to decide what is safe and useful for your body and to shape your practice around it.
Your health information is never sold, never shared with advertisers, and never discussed with other students. It is seen by Sathyajhith S S alone. If you would rather give a piece of health information privately instead of typing it into the booking form, leave that field blank and tell him directly before your first session.
Payment information
Payments for the trial session are handled by Cashfree Payments, a payment aggregator authorised by the Reserve Bank of India. You enter your UPI details on their systems, not ours. We never see, receive, or store your UPI ID, card number, bank credentials, or PIN. What reaches us is a confirmation that a payment succeeded, its amount, and a reference number.
Who else handles your information
We keep the number of third parties deliberately small. Those that are involved:
- Cal.com runs the booking calendar and stores your booking answers, including the health questions.
- Cashfree Payments processes the trial payment.
- Google holds the calendar entry for your session and delivers the invitation to your email address.
- WhatsApp carries our messages if you choose to contact us there.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and keeps standard server logs.
Each of these acts on our instructions for the purpose described. None of them is given your information for their own marketing.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics, and carries no advertising or tracking pixels. Nothing is written to your browser storage. You are not profiled, and your visit here is not followed anywhere else. The booking calendar and Instagram reels load only when you scroll to them or click them, and those third parties may set their own cookies at that point under their own policies.
How long it is kept
Different information is kept for different lengths of time, because it is needed for different reasons.
- Your health information is kept while you are practising and for a period afterwards, so a returning student does not have to explain an old injury again. It is kept no longer than it is useful for that purpose, and you can ask for it to be deleted at any time.
- A basic teaching record (your name, the dates you practised, and which programme you took) is kept for as long as Yuj Yoga Space operates. This is the ordinary record any teacher keeps of who they have taught, and it holds no health information.
- Transaction records (that a payment was made, its amount, date, and reference number) are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires business accounts to be kept.
- Message threads are kept until you ask for them to be cleared.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to:
- See what information we hold about you
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date
- Have your information erased, unless we are required by law to keep it
- Withdraw your consent at any time, which ends your booking and the teaching relationship, since we cannot teach you safely without it
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights if you are unable to
Write to sathyajhiths@gmail.com and you will get a reply within two working days. If you are not satisfied with how a complaint is handled, you may escalate it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Students under 18
Sessions are booked by adults. If the student is under 18, a parent or guardian must make the booking, answer the health questions, and remain contactable during the session. We do not knowingly collect information directly from a child.
Security
Your information sits in the accounts described above, each protected by a strong unique password and two-factor authentication. This website is served only over HTTPS. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise: if a breach ever affects your information, you will be told and so will the Data Protection Board.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a change materially affects how your health information is used, you will be told directly rather than left to notice it here.
